Artist Statement

Concisely my work is about the senses, about exploring, expanding depriving, mixing and creating. I am interested in the way we learn, obtain, forget and remember information. Also the way we store it and the associations we have for objects.

Through the use of sound installation, kinetic sculpture and text, alongside works on paper, I hope to engage people and encourage them to experience my work rather than merely observing it.

My work draws on many sources that are often linked by my fascination with different modes of communication.

Since spending some months in Iceland, Norse mythology has ingrained itself into my practice, I particularly am interested in the myths of the spinning Norns who are Three but One and who unite in their fated web, the entire living world...Not knowing what we know.
